Selects how the radio unmutes when the 
Monitor
button is pressed. Silent Monitor, also called PL Defeat,
allows the user to monitor the channel
before transmitting. This selection applies for Conventional
communications.

Disables squelch which unmutes the radio speaker to any carrier signal currently on the channel regardless of signal strength. If no carrier signal is present, then the radio unmutes to noise. |
